Master Control is one of the busiest rooms here at Nutmeg TV. Nutmeg TV cablecasts most of our programming seven days a week, 5-11p.m. Nutmeg TV is able to cablecast using
DVCPRO, ½” SVHS or VHS, and ¾” U-MATIC videotapes, live programming from both Studio A or B, and satellite feeds. This room also houses our state of the art Community Bulletin Board computer systems, which run 24/7, providing announcements of local events. Mater Control also houses our videotape duplication machines.
Nutmeg TV sends its signals for its three channels (Public, Education, Government), via fiber optics from its location at 58 West Main Street. These signals are fed via fiber optics to the headends of our two cable providers; AT&T and SNET
Americast. Nutmeg TV also has three C- Ku-band satellite receiving dishes and receivers, which are used primarily to download educational and government programming.
