Is Nutmeg TV for Profit?
No, Nutmeg is a non-profit community access television station, that manages Public, Educational and Governmental channels and facilities as a public service to the communities of Avon, Berlin, Bristol, Burlington, Canton, Farmington, New Britain and Plainville.

How is Nutmeg TV Funded? With Tax Dollars? 
Community access is mandated by the federal government. Funding is required through the State of Connecticut’s cable franchising process. Nutmeg TV’s main source of funding is by the cable companies that service the eight town area. 

Is Nutmeg Regulated? By Whom?
Yes, Nutmeg TV is regulated by the Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC). Nutmeg follows all rules and regulations in compliance with the DPUC. 

How Many Channels Does Nutmeg TV Have?
We have three channels. Our Public Channel provides access for local individuals or organizations who would like to produce or provide non-commercial programming either with Nutmeg TV facilities/equipment or their own. Our Government Channel provides access for local government programming, such as Town Council Meetings and Political Candidate statements. Our Educational Channel provides local programming for all schools, libraries and colleges in our area, plus special training for educators and their students who would like to produce their own programs as Nutmeg TV.

How Can I Be a Producer or a Volunteer? 
If you live within the 8 town service area, you can create your own show or be a volunteer. The first thing you need to do is sign up for our Orientation, which is a brief 1 ½ hour seminar describing the ins and outs of Nutmeg TV. At Orientation, you will be able to sign up for production classes, which are required for operating our equipment.
